Lakes of Springfield Park

The Lakes of Springfield Park is operated by the city of Rowlett and is open daily from 6AM-11PM.

It sits on 117 acres and offers the following activities for all ages:

One Backstop 

One Disc Golf Course – Disc golf is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. It is usually played on a course with 9 or 18 holes.

Two Practice Football Fields – Get your friends and/or family together and play some football anytime of year. 

Four Barbecue Grills – Bring some food and drinks and spend some time grilling with your family and/or friends.

Lakes / Ponds in the Park – If you want to fish or kayak there are some lakes and ponds located in the park to do these activities.

Parking Lot Available (Handicap Parking Access) – We have a full parking lot available with handicap parking access.

One Large Pavilion with Six Tables – Bring your special event, birthday, or celebration to the park and enjoy our large pavilion with up to six tables.

One Small Pavilion (No Tables)

Two Covered Picnic Tables – Take a break from your walk, hike, or outdoor activities and enjoy a quick bite or drink at one of our two covered picnic tables.

Five Uncovered Picnic Tables – We have five uncovered picnic tables for you to take a break at and recharge.

One Playground Unit – What park is complete without a playground unit? Bring your kids and make some memories.

One Radio-Controlled Air Field

One Practice Soccer Field – Need to perfect your soccer game? Bring some friends and enjoy a game on our practice soccer field.

R/C airfield – If you enjoy flying R/C planes we have an airfield for you to practice.

1.7 Miles of Hiking and Biking Trails – Almost 2 miles of hiking and biking trails for you to explore.

There is a 1.3 mile loop trail located within the park. It is primarily used for hiking/walking. Dogs may be walked with a leash.

Lakes of Springfield Park is located off of highway 66 on Antioch Drive. You can access highway 66 from Highway 78 (via highway 30) or President George Bush Turnpike to get here.
