Rockwall is about ten minutes from our office, straight across Lake Ray Hubbard, and a large share of the roofs we replace each year are on this side of the lake. Rockwall homes run from lakefront houses built in the 1970s and 80s to subdivisions still going up today, and each end of that range fails in its own way.
The homes around Chandlers Landing went up mostly from the mid-1970s through the 1990s, so most of them are on their second or third roof by now. Two things set these roofs apart. The first is exposure. A house facing open water takes more wind on the shingle edges, ridge caps and rakes than a house a few streets inland, so a lakefront inspection spends more time on the edges than the field. The second is everything that has been done to the roof over forty years: added skylights, patched penetrations, and flashing reset by three different crews. Each of those is a place for water to get in.
Newer Rockwall neighborhoods tend to have builder-grade shingles that do not hold up well to repeated hail. In subdivisions like Breezy Hill, where new phases are still going up, many roofs are only a few years old and may still be under the builder’s or manufacturer’s warranty. If yours is, we will tell you before we touch it.
Older properties near the historic square have their own set of problems around flashing and chimney details. Brick chimneys and older valleys are where those roofs leak first, and they need to be flashed properly, not caulked over.
Either way, the first job is the same: get on the roof, photograph what is there, and tell you whether it warrants a claim. We sponsor Rockwall ISD athletics, Rockwall High School football, and Rockwall-Heath football and cheer.
We also work across Heath, Fate, McLendon-Chisholm and Royse City.
Based in Rowlett since 2013, on Lakeview Parkway. Not a national franchise working the storm.
Across several hundred reviews from homeowners across North Texas.
Held throughout the time the company has been trading.
We photograph the damage and hand you the file. You file with your carrier, and we meet your adjuster on the roof to go through what we found.
No obligation. If the roof does not need work, we will tell you that.
Shingle, metal and flat roofs, on homes of any size in Rockwall and the surrounding area.
Rockwall sits in the North Texas hail corridor. We get on the roof, photograph every slope, and give you the documentation. In Texas the clock is one year from the day the storm hits.
Leaks, lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots and failed flashing, caught before they turn into a replacement.
TPO, modified bitumen and metal for commercial property and HOA work.
We get up there, photograph what is there, and tell you where you stand.
Yes. The City of Rockwall lists roofs and re-roofing among the residential projects that need a permit, and contractors who work without one risk losing their city registration. We pull the permit for every Rockwall roof we do.
Not necessarily. Skylights on an older roof are often the first place it leaks, because the flashing around them has usually been patched more than once. When we replace the roof we can reflash the skylights in place, replace the units, or close them off, and we will price each option so you can decide.
At least once a year, and after any hail or high wind. Damage from a storm you barely noticed is the kind that shows up as a leak two years later.
Missing or curled shingles, granule collecting in the gutters, a ceiling stain, a sagging line along the roof, or a gutter that has stopped draining.
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. If the roof does not need work we will say so, which has earned us more long-term customers than any sale ever has.
We document the damage and hand you the file. You file with your carrier, and we will meet your adjuster on the roof to walk through what we found.
Most homes are a one-day job, weather permitting. Larger roofs, steep pitches and cut-up rooflines can run into a second day.
