Lots in Heath run about an acre, and the houses were put up mostly by custom builders rather than volume ones, so no two roofs on a street match. The detail work is where the trouble starts: valleys, chimney chases, the dead valley behind a dormer, metal accents over porches and bay windows. Those give out long before the broad runs of shingle between them do. Lots out on the water have nothing to break the wind, and ridge caps and edge courses take the worst of it.
