Forney is on the far side of Lake Ray Hubbard from our office in Rowlett, about a half hour down the east shore and in along FM 548. The town has close to tripled in size since 2010, so most of what we get called out to here is a roof that went on inside the last twenty years.
Most of Forney is four master-planned neighborhoods. Devonshire, Gateway Parks, Travis Ranch and Windmill Farms each went up in phases, so a street here is usually one builder, one shingle and one install crew. That cuts both ways. After a hail event we are often on six roofs on one street, and the pipe boots are usually the tell. Same builder, same boot, same year, so when one house starts leaking the rest of the street is about six months behind it.
